David Pajo - Pajo
If you like Nick Drake and Elliott Smith, I think you will enjoy his CD. It has really nice folk pop songs. His voice reminds me a lot to Smith. The lyrics are some of them sad, others nice, but all in all the music gives the lyrics the perfect tone for them.
Yann Tiersen - Good bye, Lenin!
The amazing soundtrack by Yann Tiersen of the movie "Good Bye, Lenin!" starring Daniel Brühl and Katrin Saß. The movie (quoting Wiki) is a "German tragic comedy film", so the music is an important factor in my opinion. I think Tiersen made the perfect tunes for this great film.
Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left
Recorded in 1969, being the first of the three studio albums by Nick Drake, has some of the best songs by him. Personally, it gives me so much pleasure, and in bad or sad moments, it is man's best friend. At least it is mine.
Manu Chao - Proxima Estación: Esperanza
This album by the french Manu Chao, has really good songs. It has these nice tunes that makes me happy in a bizarre way. It has songs with a mix of languages, with really good guitars. His most commercial song is on this CD, called 'Me Gustas Tu'.
Beck - Sea Change
My favorite Beck CD. It has such soft songs, and his voice fits so well to his rythms. I also consider him as a "Nick Drake of our era" like Elliott Smith. And to me, Nick Drake is my music God.
Radiohead - Their discography
My favorite band. Every CD of them is worth the listen. They have a unique style, with incredible and amazing lyrics. They are currently recording their 7th album, and I am currently waiting for it.
